Let me tell you a lil somethin about the yoshi kit, with there port and polish. The thing is so Fuking fast, most places that i go it is usually the fastest quad there. ( ie. Badlandz, Haspin Acres, and sometimees Silverlakes) It cost me 1400 for the kit and them to install it and then another 400 dollars for the port and polish. Have beaten the 510cc form max power and havent run into another kfx-400 or Z-400 that could beat me. It destroys Yfz-450 and heavly moddified ones as well. Example 2 weekends ago i was up at badlandz drag racing in the corn field against a heavly modified yfz-450 and a heavly modifid trx-450. No chance they both gave up after about 150yrds, the top end is sick and i use stock gearing. You maybe paying extra for the yoshi kit but let me tell you that it is complety worth it. I am assuming that you are relativly young by the lil amount of money you want to spend. Have a happy thanksgiving.

Heh yeah I am young... I am only 26 years old with a house payment and other bills.... I COULD afford it but I can also do other things with the money so I guess I have other priorities. I am just going to have DAB racing do some porting and what not when I do the Athena... good enough for me...

Hey murdr- was it $1400 for the kit and installed or was installation extra? Have you had any problems with it? What would you rather have the Yoshi 450 or the new Quadracer R450?

I have a Yoshi 450 ( NO PORTING ) 12.5 compression with Hotcams, 41 FCR, ESR intake, and Dynatek ignition. I weigh 225 lbs. with gear and have beaten several YFZ's with pipes and intakes. 450R's don't have a chance. Take into consideration I'm giving up no less than a 35 lb. weight difference to the other riders. This is at the dunes in Utah and Idaho. I just took the head off last week and having DAB port it up. It should smoke the Athena kit pretty good when done. He also has different maps for the ignition which will help. I'm thinking about installing the 94mm. Athena kit with the Yoshi stroker. Hopefully it will work. Just need to do my homework.

It will once it's ported, at least in my case. The stroker crank makes a huge difference, no doubt.

Buddah's Yoshi put a bad beatdown on my YFZ which is piped ESR airbox eliminator and Dyna Jetted. I was pretty even with the ported Athena (on the back of Thunder). That Yoshi is gawd dam impressive.

Floating trial balloons at Mrs Shady on doing our Z like that but taking lotta buckshot.
