Does any one have a quadzilla 500. And do they still make them any more. I have a friend that has one it is like a 87 i think would have to ask him for sure. And you Quazilla riders what chance would a raptor have in tearing the quadzilla a part out in the dirt.

the quadracer 500 A.K.A. the infamous 'Quadzilla' was sold here in the USA for '87-'90. i have no i dea of how they will fair against a raptor. but I figure a well modded & built 'Zilla will smoke the Raptor on the dunes at comp hill. in realistic terms: the equivalent 4- stroke to a 500cc 2-stroke is either a 750cc+ 4-cylinder OR a 900cc thumper. then weight becomes a major factor too.
on trails, the raptor may be more nimble.... and thus faster.
......then again who am i to say anything....

i ride with guy that rides a zilla500.(87 i think)
i met him here in this fourm.
i can say my raptor can not compare in the pits. as far as trails his zilla dose very good.
just as good as my raptor except tight stuff.a little wider than the raptor.
as far as speed i think the 500 would beat me in a drag. we just have not raced yet we just ride and have a blast.
but i have raced a hot rodded shee (veryfast)and lost on dry pavment.
2stroke to 4stroke is like apples to organes.

This all depends on what engines you're talking about. The kx500 puts out 55 hp(2stroke) and a KTM 520 SX/MX/EXC puts out 53 hp(4stroke). It all depends on how much performance a company sticks into the motor department.

 

I have an 87 Quadzilla. I have seen a couple of raptors where i ride but know one wants to race. They say its not broken it yet. Well i can understand that. Hope to see them soon. Check out my site for photos of Quadzilla.
