Of course it is! Brakes are generally easy to replace. There is a certain cool factor to riding the ole Qracers too.

Of course it is. Compare what it cost to fix it up a little, to what a new or used 450 is going to cost you. Cause that's the only way you're going to have another quad that will keep up with the old quadracer. That is unless you really want to buy a banshee.

Now if you are wanting to do a full on restoration that can get costly.

tell me about costly. the 85 I got was in 3 small boxes and a frame and plastics. so far I have $2500 into it and I still need a rear shock. but I'm not complaining that 250 is a blast. would do it all over again if I had to.

I don't have the time to work on mine. That's why I bought a z. I just added a couple pics of it to my bio. Looks better now though, those are older pics. I haven't ridden it since I bought my z. My shocks are blown now too.

i got an 89 lt and it was in pretty bad shape, it needed a new clutch basket, plastics, tires, pipe, exhaust, bumper, grab bar, rear shock rebuild, kickstarter powder coating, thumb throttle, gaskets, new head, sleeve, piston, radiator, and little things like bolts nuts and little parts here and there and so far i have around $3200, $2200 in parts and stuff and the one grand for the lt itself, i wouldnt restore a quad again, im not even done with it but i wouldnt invest in something old, parts are hard to find, it takes days to get them when you order them and problems are going to keep poping out, rather buy a new and know that it wont let me down
