Default eiger 400 timing

I have an 03 Eiger 400. I have just replaced the piston and rings with .5 over. and need HELP! Does any body know what marks I should be looking for to align the sprocket.
Also should the piston be at top dead center. If there are any other trix please advise. Some told me to watch for springs on the rear chain guide but I do not believe there is one. If so It is the in bottom now.

Can we fix it, Yes we ........well maybe.

Thanks!
Rob
