LTZguy, how did you get the cooling fan? i want one for mine cuz it's air cooled and during mud races especially it overheats and all but i want a cooling fan...where did you get it? how does it mount? will it fall out after hitting a big mx jump? explain...

 

Well, don't laugh, but the cooling fan is actually a 4" 12v amp cooling fan i modified. I took it apart and filled all the electrical components with epoxy to make it more durable. Its been on there about 2 months and no problems. Its really quit, uses hardly any power to run it and it cools the engine about 80 degrees just sitting and idling, measured with one of thoses digital point at guages. The only time it stopped was when i got a stick stuck in it, pulled it out and worked fine. The fan is brushless so it should last quite a while.
Now.....I need help from everyone....If anyone else is planning on a cam then you will need a rev box. No one makes on just yet but maybe WE can change that. I am going to e-mail white brothers and big gun and ask them to consider making a rev box, hopefully everyone else that reads this thats planning on modifying their z250 will too. If I would have have about 1500 rpm higher rev limit that 300 ex I was hanging with would have been behind me. The rev limit is way too soon. If anyone needs the e-mail address to big gun and white brothers let me know I will post it.b

Ok, heres the scoop on the piston. I talked with weisco today and he said they are going to make a higher compression piston which will raise the compression 1 point. He told me to chech back in 6-8 weeks. They said someone who works there owns a z250 and they are using his bike for testing. Now for the phone numbers and web address to start bugging about a rev box.
