No this will not be my first, i own a 220 bayou right now. I ride creeks(about 1 to 1.5 feet of water depending on spot) and lots of trails(muddy). Most of you will think this is stupid but if i get a z250 ill be getting some 22 inch mudlights for it too. What could i add to make up for the tires besides a pipe and filter? What the difference between the ozark and z250 besides the plastic?

Where are you located? I've got a pair of 22 X 11 X 9 MudLites that I had on my Ozark for a while. They are sitting in my garage right now.

Was porting the head hard, and what did you use to do so?

Im assuming the z250 can spin tires easier than the ozark, plus they ride better.

Well I have riden an ozark a few times and it seems like there isn't as much bottom end snot as my z. It could have been something wrong with it though. Yeah, it seem like it would spin more, but that is mostly due to the traction I guess

With the MudLites on my Ozar, I was able to spin the tires like crazy in 1st gear (they never got good enough traction to do wheelies though) and sometimes they would spin like crazy in 2nd too if they were on loose soil/mud.

The head was very easy to port. I used a snap on long reach air grinder, a couple different sized ball bits, a pointed bit, and a few cartridge rolls. Keep in mind you cant just go grinding on a head without knowing what you are doing. I have ported many heads as i have access to a flow bench so i have done a little testing and research. I have done many automobile heads, a few briggs 5hp heads and I have a little practice on my friends klx110 pit bike before i did my z250 head. This atv is probably one of the easiest to work on which is how i pulled the head off, ported it, and put it back on and was riding in less than 4 hours. The only thing I can tell you is if you can't port it yourself or know someone who can, you can send it to me and i'll do it for $100. you'll need to send your head pipe to because it has weld protruding into the pipe.
