Default I Have The Older V.I.N. Now What

Well I have been checking out this fourm and I found on the Nyroc site that My King is the older V.I.N. A552111616 So now what do I do is this a recall that I can take in to have fixed or do I have to wait until it breaks. What is the first signs of the problems and how much damage does it do when it breaks. Is this something that I should try to break before my warranty rus out and what does it cost to have it fixed when it's out of warranty. Any info on this would be greatly appreciated.

GC! On the recalls that I have had the pert didnot need to be broken to replace! I would call the dealer and have them fix it before it broke! Did Suzuki not send you any of the recall notices? Reverse, tie rod, etc.?

You cannot get the new design on the reverse unless it breaks. You have a 5 year warranty on the reverse. You will not know its going to break until it just lets go, loud pop and its like your in nutreal. I have not heard of one letting go in a long long time. If it doesnt break in 5 years I dont think it will. Just dont be afraid to use it. Test it out and make sure its going to survive your riding style.
I have the older design and I have put it through its paces and it seems solid, so Im not worried. If you do a search you will get alot of info but you will have to go back a ways.

when it breaks is the King not driveable no foward or reverse or does just the reverse stop working? Also what is the deal I keep seeing about the updated ECM. What is the difference in the updated ECM and does my King have the updated or older one or how do I tell which one is on my King.

You can go forward, but I dont know how far you would want to go. You might end up doing some more damage.
I did a search on the ecm but I couldnt find it. I know mine ends in a 01 and I have a new one. I think the old ones ended in a 00. I got the answer from topgun 1 on this forum once, maybe he will come along and answer the question.

O.K. I did some more digging and it ends in 01 for the updated and 00 for the old ecm (one without all the stupid limits and time outs) I think the 06 or the cold weather ecm ends in 02. Atleast the one me and Razor kq tested out for the no lag thing ended in 02.
