Don't I need matched case halves? Do you also have the matching right side engine half?
i do have the matching set. but ,no, you dont have to get them as a set. and the cases arent machined they are cast alumnium. if you want the set, that will up the cost of it.
so after my top end rebuild this stinkin this is still a monster to start when cold. im in florida and it shouldnt be this hard period. sometimes i have to take an eyedropper and squirt gas right into the cylinder through the spark plug hole to get it to fire off when cold. anyone know why this would still be happening. this was the whole reason for my top end rebuild. i replaced the piston/rings and replaced the valves. i am at a loss
only other thing i can think of is maybe the timing is off but i checked and it appears correct to me as the marks are horizontal with the head when the T is visible through the port for finding TDC. any ideas?

yea ive cleaned the carb about 3 times now and and i can see through my clear fuel filter that fuel is flowing from the petcock to the carb. i either flooded the engine or killed the spark plug or the carb is clogged somewhere because now when i pour gas straight into the cylinder it fires off for a bout a sec and then dies. gonna have to wait till tomorrow i guess and let the engine dry out. I should prolly buy a new fuel filter and re clean everything one more time. im just so confused at the moment lol cause i was hoping the rebuild would answer all my problems but apparently not. is i possible my pilot jet need to be drilled a little bigger? my piston is .25mm bigger.

also where would you recommend buying a jet kit from? and do they specify the size according to piston size? cause otherwise i wouldnt know what to get lol.
You could probably just get a carb rebuild kit if it is clogged, they are $15 including shipping. That should get it running good and then you can use a jet kit to make adjustments if it is running lean. Here is a link:
SUZUKI LT230S QUADSPORT 85-88 LT230 CARB REBUILD KIT - eBay (item 270711943319 end time Mar-27-11 12:42:21 PDT)
Also, did you check to make sure no gas was leaking from the carb boot, because the carb boot could be ripped or worn out. Make sure you have good connections between the boots and the carb also.
