45 + 5 for the taillight. So 50 watts altogether. And its AC. I don't know if it means anything, but some bulbs say AC and some say DC.

i will update it when i get time from my builds. Atvman hasnt got alot of time these days so he put me in charge of The Vault for now, not sure if it was a permanent deal or not..

i will be adding some new pages to it and some new info that i came across while i was building the first Mistress.

Hey randy what are the torque specs for the 12mm cap bolts for the main jug studs? i always torqued them to 25 ftlbs. all i ever noticed in the book was 8mm and 6mm bolts. i wonder if that was a mistake?

Ain't it in the vault? Probably so much stuff crammed in there you can't find what you need :P

15-18 ft-lbs. about 25 Nm. Be sure to oil the threads and washer.

A good read: ARP-bolts.com | ARP - World-leading Fastener Technology

nope its not in there. it says 15-18 ft-lbs for an 8mm nut, but the main 4 bolts are 12mm. i have had alot of people confused about that. i'll update that for sure. i thought about adding an engine building guide to try to simplify building a 230 or 250s engine, with pics.

Alternators and magnetos are AC and AC is the most efficient way to generate electricity. Adding a rectifier will convert the AC to DC so you can install a battery, but then you lose efficiency. So, if there is no need for a battery, its best to just leave it in AC. So anything that doesn't have a battery is almost certainly AC.

The manual says the head bolts are 6 and 8mm. Bolts are measured by the threads and not the size of socket that fits the head. 12mm would be close to 1/2 inch in diameter.
