What special tools are needed to tear into the bottom end?

Is it just a flywheel puller and a case splitter?

Default Lt230s n lt250s shifter spring

Hey J_mauld I've didn't need a case splitter n to be honest never seen one do you have a picture of one n what do they cost, but I did need flywheel puller n a clutch removal tool EBC makes one for around $21.00 on EBay.have you ever split a lt230s or lt250s case before?.If not right behind the shifter shaft in the case lookn threw the hole of the center case is a little spring. It can be alittle tricky to get out n reinstall, don't panic if you have any problems I can walk you thru it if needed.Im pulling my 89 lt250s apart this week n I'll post pics of tools n tricky little spring hiding behind case.

I hate to do this, but after looking at my frame some more, I'm going to bail on my project, and I'm going to part-out everything that I have.

I have all of the factory parts for sale, and some other parts. I'll post the highlights below, but feel free to ask me for a specific part. All parts are for an '88 Quadsport 230, unless specifically stated otherwise.

All 4 front ball joints are brand new: $50

The steering shaft is straight and has never been welded (I'm not making any claims about the strength of it though): $50

The front wheel bearings are new, but have been installed.

axle bearings that haven't been installed.

All four front control arms have fresh bearings in them: $75

LT250S swingarm that has been powdercoated a dark grey, and has new pivot bearings and a new pivot bolt installed, but never used. This swingarm is 1" longer than the LT230S swingarm. $150 (see picture below)

Parking Brake block-off: $15

Custom Shifter linkage: $10 (as seen on the vault.)

Side cover that's been powder coated black: $100 (NO Cracks)

OE front hood - blue $25

Maier front hood - blue (still in original package): $40

Mix of LT250R lower arms and LT250S upper arms that should give about 1.5" of extra width on each side. I started cutting on these to make them fit, but never really tested them. I think you will need to do the washer mod to get the camber set correctly. So the price is set to just cover the cost of shipping if anyone wants to finish this: $25.

LT250S cam: $125

LT250S or LT230S Cylinder/jug and piston: $80 (Whoever gets the LT250S Cylinder will get the matching head for free. It has a bolt hole that needs repair and is missing a valve retainer clip, no cam)

LT250S engine cases: $100 (There are no cracks. I purchased these, practiced powder coating on them and never installed them, so I don't know if there are any issues with them. There are none that I can see by looking at them.)

All prices above are shipped, unless I find that shipping is more expensive than expected. If you don't see a price, or don't like my price, then make me an offer. I will get pictures of an specific part that someone is interested in.

I'd love to get the ball joints if they will fit my '85 LT230s.

I have my engine apart and was cleaning it up today and noticed the transmission drive shaft bearing is bad. The small bearing that's in the right side engine case on the other end from the sprocket. I've looked a several parts schematics and don't see it listed. Any help in locating it would be appreciated. Thanks

No, the bearing I need is the one on the other end of that shaft, same bearing, other case.
