I never found a need for the tensioner. I guess the longer swinger helps keep the chain from C.C.O.S'n. I guess its good to have a longer swinger<div class="FTQUOTE"><begin quote>Originally posted by: gforce34
Def, I would advise getting a CT99 Chain tensioner they are sold now on ebay for $40.00. You can click on profile pictures because a few of us already have it and see where we install it on the frame. This has stopped my C.C.O.S from happening to this point.</end quote></div> |

I don't want a longer swinger because I like the size length wise, fits perfectly in my trailer but I do want the front wider then it is now with just the offset rims and durablue wheelspacers. |

Ive always checked and adjusted my chain before every ride. Also, I soak my chain over the winter. It keeps the o-rings in tip-top shape. Ive got a DID o-ring thats been on the machine for 5 years, I think. I.M.O. you havent maintained a quad till you slow simmer the 520. Ive touched on this before, but it really works. A good cookin once or twice a year and a HIGH quality chain lube, chains and sprockets last for, seasons. |
