I'd like to be right there with ya PG, but I can't get past all this work that keeps piling up. Maybe I need to adjust some priorities! My problem is I get obsessed. Right now the obsession is getting the 230 done and out of the garage so I can get the truck in there n fix a tranny mount n get back to diggin the pond before the rains come. In a few days I'll be helping a friend put a new carb on his Warrior.... That will add to the work load. Carb tuning is a bitch without $300 worth of jets on hand! Plus, I still haven't gotten the Lakota finished up for the ole lady. That racing carb was a real life saver though. Priceless info contained in that I used on the Lakota. I haven't forgotten. Oh yeah, tires.... You should see how ITP sends their tires out. I thought it was bikebandit until I called ITP. They said all their tires go out like that. What a load of ****..... I had to use the digger's hydraulics to pull them apart. And then they lied about the weight. And then it took days before the tires on the brand new douglas rims would stop leaking. I had to fill them up to 20-30 psi and let them sit quietly in a corner for a week before they would hold air at a regular pressure. Needless to say, I'm not all that impressed with ITP.

BTW,I am learning to TIG weld, kinda! I thought the MIG was tough..........</end quote></div>
I saw TIG welding done one time in a welding class in college. Didn't look too hard, but I never done it so.....
These migs we have are pretty forgiving I think. Good starter machines. How is the trailer project coming?

I have actually never heard of itp tires selling for anything but the name. I have heard of cheaper rubber comments as well.
here is the finished skid I had to bend the top tube and cut off most of both of the ears. drilled a hole and the driled hole now mounts to the gear assembly. nice and straight. I will get some pics as I am putting it on.
