Fight club was not only a fun movie, but if you put pads on and establish a "few" rules, it can keep you grounded in your animal self... We may have independent thought, but if the **** really hits the fan, we are just animals, and it is a dog eat dog world............. anyone know what holds the kick starter onto the gear shaft? is it some type of C clip? i was riding the trails hard and stalled while climbing a mountain a went to kick it over and the kick start leg was hanging in my nerf bars!!!! what hold it on? where can i get it?

Its a bolt that the head always seems to break off leaving the threaded part stuck inside. I've seen this on several engines. You'll have to drill a hole in the bolt and use an EZ-out and a torch to get it out. The hole is not very deep and I think people lose the washers or something and overtighten the bolt and twist the head off.

Is there anywhere cheap like CheapCycleParts, cuz BikeBandit is expensive, and CheapCycleParts took off their OEM 230 Quadsport items and I was gonna order what I needed tonight :-(. Alpha Sport seems to not have many parts available

 

Woo first post every one! i just picked up a quadsport 230lt for 40$......tore the thing apart cleaned the carb out and it ran! unfortunatly the choke on the carb broke off while trying to remove it. and i still am unable to remove the remaining parts of the choke that are stuck in there. So basicly its a pain to start now seeing that i dont have a battery for it...... but i need a new carb, but they seem to be pretty rare on ebay these days and a new one seems to be in the 300$ range! what would be my best plan for attack?

so far ive only spent 100$ in total on it. it just needed swing arm bearings and a chain to get moving. but i still need a battery and carb to make it reliable.

 

oh yeah ill get some pics for you tommorow to see what a 40$ ATV looks like ..... already did a wheelie with in the first 5 mins of having it running and driving! he he
