If those are the only choices, I say get the DG. Its a glasspack and the cobra isn't. The cobra appears to be just like the Jardine I got that was a giant pos.... It was loud and not as much power as the stock muffler with the drain bolts out. Cheap metal and no glass-packing will sound like a kid beating on a pot with a spoon. The only way to get that cool deep sound is to have thick, stiff metal (like concrete) and good glass-packing.

Yes, but you want the pipe that is inside the muffler to be the same size as the pipe that is your header. If not, the gas inside will expand and produce noise that exits the tailpipe instead of being soaked up by the glass-packing.
Sound is nothing more than pressure change. And you want the pressure change to happen inside the glass-packing and not inside the pipe.
