No problem. I had to clean my bud's stock carb a couple days ago, so everything was fresh in my mind.

Come to think of it, have you cleaned the carb lately? Maybe you should do that while everything is half apart already.

Anyone know how our 230s stack up against a Rappy 250? I test drove one of those Raptor 250s and they're an amazing ATV but it was a small, closed course so I couldn't exactly get the full feel of it.

I'd buy one in a nanosecond if it had reverse and I had the money.

And don't call me lazy for wanting reverse!! 50% of the trails I ride on are dead ends w/o turn arounds!

I haven't rode one or raced one, but engine-wise the raptor is pretty much the same as the 230 except the bore and stroke is more like a 250x or mojave. Same 2-valve head though and no real bells or whistles. I say if you want rpms, get a 2-stroke (or at least an old 250x). I like the deep stroke of the 230 though. Against my quad, the only 4-stroke 250 I'm worried about is the 250x. Those were fast!

My cousin has a 250X and we race them quite a bit. He's missing second so thats a nice equalizer when we drag.

Haven't reced him since I put on my new pipe though. His wheeler is highly modified though too. huge carb (not sure what size) DG exhaust K&N filter and other stuff too.

We can stay even until 5th then he pulls out, albeit not to quickly.

The pipe on his is stupid loud, it sounds like a plane coming down the road.

If he has decent compression and a decent valve-train and you can still keep up with him, you're doing pretty well. He has a 4-valve head and wiseco has 12:1 pistons for it and it only weighs 50lbs more.

I wish we knew more about his wheeler. He got it at a swap meet for a mid 90s polaris snowmobile. Second gear is busted and the front end was goofy but the rest runs great.

The guy had those extensions on the front a-arms that just move the stock a-arms out and he threw some cheesy little Northern tool go-kart shocks on there. When he first got it, the tiny shocks weren't nearly long enough so his a-arms were angled upward! It was pretty squirelly to drive needless to say. But if you ask me, it was a sweet deal.

Check out the lower shock mount lifters we made out of scraps in his garage.

Once it warms up I'll have to break out my new helmet cam and video some drag races between the two of us and I'll post it on here!

love the 250x! And your 230!
The ONLY thing I have not liked about the 230's is the big balloon tires!
I understand them, but looks wise, I no like!
When I saw Malhombre's 230, I was ruined!
If you haven't really looked at that bike you should!
That bike is beautiful! I tried to emulate (spelling) it with mine, I think I got close, but that thing is WAYYYYY purty!

Off track as I usually am, found a post by our boy Randal that made me smile!
The kid is really smart if you haven't figured it out yet!

the fastest sport atv ever built" Does that cover trikes as well? Doesn't say stock, just says "the fastest built" and trikes are ATV's. So, this one looks pretty fast: http://www.3wheelerworld.com/FastestTrike.shtml I guess its a sport....

I don't see why the Tiger 500 wouldn't out run a zilla.... http://www.3wheelerworld.com/tiger500.shtml

Banshee isn't all that... Good for throwing dirt is about all I see here: http://www.3wheelerworldforums...remote/Ronniesmall.wmv

Here's a list of some other Banshee-killers in action: http://www.3wheelerworld.com/videos.shtml

There used to be a video of a DS650 with turbo blowing away banshees like they were sitting still. He'd give em a good 100-200 ft head start and beat them by at least as much. But the link doesn't work anymore. http://videos.streetfire.net/v...ith-turbo-kit_7663.htm

Those are pretty old pics, I have my new Kenda Klaws on if that helps in the style department! haha

My cousin has since shaved the graphics off his wheeler, added white handguards, and removed the widening kit because he bent the rear spacers and the front end had made it pretty freaky to ride with those puny shocks.
