ac is a 300. i just put a moose lift on it. it is a 99 with only 250 miles on it. came with a new moose plow too. only paid 600 for it. it didn't run, but after about 20 minutes, found a broken wire by the fuse block. i LOVE the vinson. it is a beast for a 500cc. again, being as cheap as i am, the price was right and i am glad i got it. hopefully they show up, but here is a couple pics of the chain guard i threw together. nothing pretty at all, but it should help protect the cast and cover.

yeah, i'll get some new pics posted soon. they're not LED lights, just the stock taillight and a aftermarket quartzlamp fog light. i went with a fog light for the wide beam. got my wiring all figured out and got the lights working. just gotta tidy up the wiring and put the nose back on and fire it up and make sure my connections are all tight and taped.
while i was trying to figure out the wiring rats nest, i decided to route the crankcase breather filter into the airbox. worked out pretty slick. i'll get a pic of that too.

nice work on that case saver, it looks nice!

I've never had a chance to ride a Vinson but it seems like one of the most unanimously loved ATVs on the forums.

How's the super low tranny on the AC? That's an awesome deal you got on that thing!

Nice! The wiring on mine is nasty too. Half of the wires on mine are so sh!!ty they feel like they if you bent them too far, they'd just snap in half.

Someday, when I have another ATV and I can afford to take the 230 out of commission for a while, I'd like to replace a good portion of the wiring........well, maybe. haha

when i was dealing with that mess, i discovered there's an spare hookup back by the taillight. i guess you could wire up a backup light.

i love the vinson and the arctic cat. that little thing can do anything i ask of it (except go 50mph). it is an absolute work horse. i did put the lift on it (so it doesn't look so small compared to the other quads), but there isn't a thing i want to do to it. i plowed with it too, and to be honest, i liked plowing with it over the vinson. the vinson tends to want to spin the wheels where as the ac just digs in and goes. although i have the heated grips and throttle on the vinson, so you all know which i use. my buddies have bigger quads (brute force and grizzly), but they also paid twice as much as i did. i wouldn't give the vinson or cat. they are awesome machines.

I actually saw that too. When my cousin and I were looking at the new 230 I got, we saw those two dangling wires and thought we had found the problem, but looking at the wiring diagram, we saw they were just accessory outlets.

Randy, when you got your Wire Gauge Drill bits, did they come in a set? I can only find them individually and I'm really having trouble finding the right size.

If you did get a set, how much did you spend?

Do you think Grainger or Fastenal would have them in their stores?
