I was just looking around a bit and Bike Bandit carries the gasket for $12, but it seems like some people have had success using JB. On the JB website, it says JB can withstand a constant temp of 500 and can withstand 600 degrees for up to 10 minutes.

Seems like I might be alright. Worst case scenario, I get a melted, goopy mess, I clean it up, and get the gasket.

 

I got a hold of DG today too regarding my nerf bars. They sounded relatively concerned and wanted me to send pics, so I did.

I'll be curious to see what they come up with.

 

I bet an exhaust gets MUCH hotter than 500 degrees. 12 bucks seems like a rip off to me. Try ebay. You can get the whole gasket kit for 30 it seems.

If nothing else, get a buch of copper wire and coil it in there. Burn the insulation off first though.

Yep, american eagle cuts corners somehow, they shoot real dirty. 29 for 100 rounds 9mm is a rip off for garbage loads. Used to pay 10 buck a 100 for quality rounds.
