Holy *****. The OEM spark arrestor is $75 from Bike Bandit.

So this is a dumb question, but where exactly do the baffles go? The baffle isn't just the bolt on tip, is it?

I've got a Supertrapp on my street bug with a spark arrestor tip. The baffle plates are removable to tune the sound/back pressure. They bolt on the end and then have an end plate to stop the sparks from shooting out the end, forcing them out the plates. You can see how they stack in this pic:

Ok, yeah I had a Supertrapp on my 230. Loved it BTW.

I'm having my dad look (because he hauled it to the cabin) down my pipe. Should be pretty easy to see if there's baffles and/or a spark arrestor.

I've got a local guy with a stock exhaust, maybe he'd let me rent it! lol bet that would be a first!

Hey guys, I figured out why my 230 was not starting it was not the wiring keeping me for starting it it was the lack of an air box. I bought this thing in pretty rough shape and someone had taken off the air box and replaced it with a 6" section of PVC pipe. I bought an airbox off a buddy of mine but it dosent have the tube to connect the airbox to the carb. Anyway i removed the PVC pipe when I took off the headlight so I guess the pipe gave the carb enough vaccum to start because i put it back in temporarily to see if it would start and it did I didnt ride it like that though because i think it would be hard on the intake valve. Also if anyone has a spare airbox to carb boot I'm looking for one.

I got to ride out at Silver Lake for a few hours yesterday and WOW, what a different kind of riding duning is from what I'm used to! It is a blast though. It such a cool feeling carving into the side of a fresh dune. Unfortunately it was a little damp but no big deal. Here's some pics:

well i have an 88 QS230 and the mods on it are very similar to malhombre's, mine is punched out 40 over, extremely ported and polished, stage2 cam, and soon to have a 2 or 3 over swing arm and i also hope to widen out the front some, also scored a full supertrapp exhaust for it recently.
