The Vault is turning 1 year old on May 5th, and I had a really cool idea the other day, but I forgot. lol

So if any of you have an idea for something new in the Vault for its 1 year birthday, or just in general, let me know! Hopefully I can remember my idea!

I got an idea, how good is, is yet to be seen. How bout readers posting old original ads for aftermarket and performance parts for the lt230. Or maybe a user manuel or instruction's on how to use/install said product. Magazine pic's would be great.
I should be able to find a few things. Guess Ill need to scan and send them to you.

works for me! That way if someone happened to come across a vintage accessory sometime, it would drive up the visits to the vaut as well as providing a good source of info that is NLA.

 

Speaking of aftermarket 230 parts. Does anyone have a pic of the aftermarket extended swingarms that were sold for 230s? I forget what brand they were, i know they were white though. I had one years and years ago but, like a dummy i sold it on ebay a couple years back.

 

ive been trying to find a vintage bassani exhaust ad. i lucked up and found a bassani exhaust for my lt at a mc salvage for 40 bucks that had a hole in it. fixed the hole and repacked it and it sounds very deep and throaty. its a reverse megaphone

 

I am getting ready to rebuilt the top end on my 87 230 LTS. Should I be concerned with rebuilding the crank 2? I plan on checking the crank and crank bearings for wear and replace as needed. Thanks.

 

West Coast made ext swingarms for the 'sport. take a look at my pics. funny, i bought mine on ebay a couple years ago... (actually it was about 6 yrs ago and i think the seller was from Cali.)
Atvman, i think i might have some old DirtWheels mags. i'll dig around and see what i can find for ya.

 

I don't think I should start a new topic about this so I guess i"ll just ask in here. Does anyone have some old used front fenders that are still in 1 piece? I need some desperately.

 

I just figured id throw a couple updated pics up of the build im doing. The frame is "Dark Night Metallic" black, I Powder coated the steering stem and bars mirror black, The A-arms and Swing arm and rear grab bar are powder coated matte aluminum. However one of the heating elements went out in my oven while i was baking the swingarm so the lower A-arms have to wait to get powdered untill i fix the oven. I'll keep updating with pics as the build gets farther along
