Ok, after a long riding winter. My crank went. I'm doing a full engine rebuild, including a new bottom end and cases. I have the option to get an lt250s cylinder, will it fit on an lt230s without any problems? Since I am going for an lt250s cylinder, I have decided to get an lt250s cam, cylinder head, cover, and valves. I saw pics of this being done in the forum before but I don't remember where. Any advice would be great.

ok i think i solved your mystery quad. its an 89 lt230E with a lt160 engine on it. most of the electronic components are the same between the two, the only difference i can find is the the starter relay. i asked another mechanic friend of mine who worked on Zuk's for 25 years and he has never saw anything like you 230e. it doesnt look like the jug at the top is bolted to the frame backbone tube. the lt160 has a shorter jug than the 230. but somehow all the other motor mounts seem to line up. but it is also possible that it an lt160 jug on a 230 bottom end.

it may be possible. if you had the jug off and measured the 4 long head bolts center to center and the length of them i could tell you for sure. i'll go measure my extra crank case set and post the resullts in a minute.
