all it could be is the fuel delivery. i'm stumped, for once. it cant be mechanical. some after market headers and mufflers call for a rejet in the carb. but if you have the alumnium Cobra muffler, i bet some one has tinkered in the carb before you got it. i still run stock jetting with my Cobra and mine runs fine.

i just dont know. i would almost bet theres a leak. the o-ring in the carb boot almost always cracks and leaks.

well my day just keeps getting better. my local machine shop still doesnt have my cylinder head done and they wont answer the phone. its been there for 2 weeks.

but i did get some good news though. i now have admin access to The Vault. I'll be keeping it updated and add some new engine diagnosis guides, since everyone almost has the same issues. also i will be adding a parts compatibility page so you can cross reference what parts off certain quads will work on a 230s or upgrade it and there will be part numbers. keep checking in at The Vault for the latest info.

i vote for red hubs. they might seem too be a little part but they stand out when painted properly. red rims would just be too much. maybe solid black with a red line aroun the outter edge would be different.

technically the E model is an 87. the vin tag might say 7/86 through 12/86, but its really an 87. any production model after 6/86 is the next years model.
