It gives you great instructions, I just didn't want to remove the gas tank , plastic or any of the other stuff. The dealer said it only took them like an hour and a half but they know what they are doing. Next time they need to be adjusted I will try it my self since the manual is step by step. hope this helps

 

It shouldn't be that hard to do yourself, don't crush the feeler guage. It should slide with moderate friction. I'm am kinda like you....I don't usually even gap sparkplugs...
