Need advice, 05 Z400 or 04 DVX w extras
Hello, I am new to this forum and I need some feedback. I am looking at buying a new 400 Quad. I have narrowed it down to 2 quads. Both quads are new. I realize Suzuki builds both quads.
One is a 04 DVX400 with ITP Baja wheels and Razor tires and handquards.
The other is a bone stock 05 Z400.
The 04 DVX is priced 100.00 more than the 05 Z400. I figure the extras on the DVX are worth about 600.00. I like the looks of the DVX especially with the wheels and tires. However The upgrades on the 05 from 04 are very appealling. Are the tires and wheels worth the loss of the better shocks, carb, etc. on the 05???
Its like trying to decide which hot babe you want to hook up with...
a great decision to have to make!
Thanks in advance for the help.

Thanks for the input guys. I have riden an 03 Z400 but not a DVX. Thats a good point about the seat. The DVX seat looks pretty skinny.
Its hard to pass up those purty wheels on the DVX but Im leaning towards the Z400.
I also heard that the DVXs are a year behind the Z400s. A 2004 DVX is actually a 2003 Z400. Has anybody else heard this?
I have seen in a few pictures of 05 DVXs that they dont have the resi's on the front shocks.
Interesting...
Anyway, thanks again for the opinions.

Go for the 05 z400, it is very comfortable, great suspension, nice and fast, and tires are good enough. It is worth getting the 2005 because of the carb, suspension, and other work done to it.
only probs ive heard with the 05 z was the leakage of coolant due to corrosion of the magnesium covers??? is this correct? some people were replacing them with previous years' covers.
i have a 450R and i know its irrelvant to the question, but ive never seen a leak of any kind from its magnesium covers.... dont know why the Z would have leaks. im not hatin on it b/c i love the Z...and maybe getting one...
but the suzuki guys could answer for that better than me.

about the corrosion situation, i just took mine into the shop and it was corroded. i got it all replaced under warranty and am now running EVANS coolant. If you do by the Z make sure to use coolant type:NPGR. like the previouse guy said though i would reccomend replacing the cover with an aluminum one.
