No Reverse Lo Range on Eiger 5sp?

Default No Reverse Lo Range on Eiger 5sp?
is there only one reverse speed on the manual shift Eiger? is it the same ratio as 1st high range and would this be an issue towing heavy loads?

There is only one reverse range. I can't find my book to confirm it, but I'm pretty sure that the reverse ratio is the same as low 1st gear.

Default No Reverse Lo Range on Eiger 5sp?
reverse is a pretty high gear...i'd say the ratio is inbetween 1st and 2nd high.....it's not really an issue because you can manipulate the foot clutch to bring the revs up and disengage the clutch

foot clutch? at times I have near 1000 pounds behind me, will this trans hold up?

is it on wheels, or dead weight....i've pulled a dodge caravan and old jeep with a 302 V-8 with no prolbems up little hills...very litttle hills
