Hey wayout and wannabe this is to you.

Why do you feel it is necessary to play mother to someone that you do not even know. Perhps he will be riding on private land miles from the nearest person. Perhps you could provide some constructive input or move on to another thread. If he needed another mother he will know who to call.

Because there is no good reason to pick a pipe based on only the fact that it is the loudest & most annoying you can buy. Loud pipes close riding areas period. And I put my money that the loudness is to increase the poser factor, not because he would be riding in a vacuum.

And riding on private land does not exempt you from the dB laws..ask Ricky Carmichael. He was served with a court order to stop practicing on his own private land due to neighbor complaints. In the town I live in, the board is trying to pass a bylaw to ban riding on private property..and they have already banned all riding of public lands. Why? Because some riders can't be bothered to comply with the law. It is in everybody's best interest to educate others before they are no more riding places period. If "mothering" is what it takes..so be it.

He was not asking what is a good reason to pick a pipe! Again although I was not speaking to you....You are assuming that he rides on public land or land that is privately owned and used by all. I ride on my own land...the nearest house is 18 miles away. Sound is not an issue. I agree that if you are in a national forest or other public riding area loud pipes would be an issue (In Minnesota there is a current law for public land and anything over 98db will get you a fine) . Looks like he will have another mother available if needed.

AtomicPunk has it right, private land does not matter. They will start to restrict that because people abuse it or when the oportunity for new public land comes around it will be snuffed out by people who "have a neighbor that drives one of those damn things on his land and it is too loud" so the public land ends up not going through.

He was asking what is the loudest pipe, I said that is a stupid thing to pick a pipe by and stand by that. Here, if you want your answer: Run no exhaust at all. Sound and spark arrestors be damned right? The power loss from no exhaust should not matter either because after all, you will be the loudest.

so lets get back to the original question. maybe he wants to know what the loudest is so he can avoid buying one
has anybody stopped and thought about it or do they want to complain about it.
its amazing how fast people can change the subject on a thread very quickly and get people fighting and complaining
so get over it and stay with the original question. this is my opinion on it.

mucky, that sounds like hogwash to me,it also sounds very supportive, he wanted to know what the loudest pipe was not the one to give him the most power...... it's a real simple question,i wish they had a age limit to join these forums, because it's clear that some are not old enough to talk to adults, maybe their should be a forum just for kids and you and rest of you yahoos could talk that silly crab on it......... as for the rest of us adults on here maybe we ought to watch how we talk to some of these kids,as we know you're not going to get through to them,we're wasting our time!!!!!!!!! wayout, out, " lifes good "
