Why do you feel it is necessary to play mother to someone that you do not even know. Perhps he will be riding on private land miles from the nearest person. Perhps you could provide some constructive input or move on to another thread. If he needed another mother he will know who to call.

To Wayout - Look at it this way, if they're young enough to ask a question like "which is the loudest pipe?", then they are also more than likely not old enough to drive to the shop and buy it.

To the original poster - just cut the silencer off your stock exhaust. Make sure you call your friends over when you start it up and then pin the throttle wide open in neutral. That way you can impress them real good and blow out their eardrums. A minor side effect might be that your parents will take your quad away. I don't know if you'd like that.

SandmanBlue, you're talking about being "stupid"? okay how bout this one, A. the stock silencer is held on to the header by a clamp, so he would not have to cut it off, B. he would lose a lot of power and it would sound like a piece of crap by taking off the stock silencer...just trust me on this one suzukijoe, go with the big gun evo x full system, or the pro circuit T-4 with the pro circuit stainless steel header...do this plus an intake and jets, and you'll have a nice z250...and also, if you just want it to sound a bit better, just take out the baffle like i did, just take an allen wrench and take out the bolt under the baffle, then slide the baffle out of the pipe and you'll gain a bit of power and then it'll sound a lot better, not as good as it would with a pipe, but it would sound good...

this is what im talking about . all he wanted to know was what the loudest pipe was. that doesnt mean he's going to buy one. and he never mentioned that or power and yes there are places loud pipes are ok. most places dont what loud anything, my bike is loud, not any louder than the legal limit
but so people will say its too loud, its their opinion to think so, i've been in places where you cant even hear my bike because of the noise
from trucks and sandrails being to loud
so like I said before get over it and stay with the question

admit to what? the only thing i'm admitting to is the main reason trails and tracks are closed is because of stupid people doing stupid things
in the last 3 years where I ride most places are closed and not from being loud. its from people partying all night , getting drunk and tearing up the place and leaving all there trash behind and not giving a damn about anybody else.and then somebody gets hurt because of it, so they close the riding area. im not saying loud is good by any means but if people complain about the noise then maybe you shouldnt be there in the first place. private land or not. if your riding in a place that annoys somebody then maybe you shouldnt be there. and thats my final answer! so lets be cool about it and work on saving our riding areas from people that destroy it for all of us
