I have an 85 LT250E and the cam chain needs to be replaced. I'm doing it. I see that the chain has no master link, and obviously it goes around the crankshaft. My question is, do I have to take the crank out, or can I just take off a side cover or something? I hate the thought of tearing the engine all the way down to the bare crank, but if I have to, I guess I have to.
