If you have an LT230 try this please
#1
I was tinkering with my 85' LT 230 the other day and I checked the oil level in the sight glass on the crankcase. All was well with the oil 3/4 up into the glass as usual. Then I cranked it up and while idleing I noticed that the oil pump had sucked all the oil completely out of the glass appearing as if I did not have enough oil. This scares me to think about it. I have no oil burning problems, but is this normal? If somebody would look at their bike and tell me if they have the same situation, I would very much appreciate it. Thanks all!

Only 400 miles BrinkWeld?!!?Mine has 2000 miles on it and it is a cherry. It is like riding bucking bronco if the trail is rough and I am going to fast. It is a pleasure to ride.I get the "what the f--- is that " look when I take it to the local riding area.It is small enough to weasel around stuff the big 400's & up can't get thru. I love it other than it is a little unstable on off camber situations.Mine is the 230 shaft drive dual range, evidently there were a lot of variations of the quad in the early years.Tghe rack space is awesome and the 2 storage boxes are thoughtful. The front plastic being so low leaves room for the "trunk" space in the front rack. And the fuel tank is under the seat. All that was back in '86 and the mags make deal when a manufacterer does these things now,Suzuki was ahead of the game back then.I rode a sport quad(polaris sport 400L) for a while but I missed the quiet ride a little utility offers.Had mine for a month now and I love it.But I kinda miss the "ring ding" of a 2 stroke.Later
