i have a 92' lt250r .i was just wondering if you have to change the oil on them.if so how do i do it?

 

Yes you do. Take out the drain plug in the bottom of the motor like any other motor. The filler plug is on the right(when sitting on it) side of the motor. I believe it is 900ml of oil. Be sure to use a quality oil in it. I use Bel-Ray Gearsaver and dont have any complaints.

 

Isnt that where the clutch is?also what weight oil shall i use.is there a special quad oil?

 

Yeah that is where the clutch is. The rest of the motor gets lubricated by the oil that is mixed in the gas. I use 80w oil.

 

now is it like special atv oil or is it just at my local auto part store?

 

It's transmission oil not regular oil. Go to your dealer and get some any motorcycle specific oil will work but make sure it's for a motorcycle don't put regular oil in there. I like Bel-Ray Gear Saver also.
