purchased a lt250s and I have everything but a stator cover,stator and the cylinder. Does anyone know if the 230 cylinder will fit ? I need to know if the rod stroke is the same since I can find one of them easier on e-bay than a 250s cylinder. If so I will just use the 230. I think the stator and stator cover are interchangeable. Thanks for your help.

no the cylinder will not fit and the wrist pin of the piston is a different size you should order from suzuki so you wont mess anything up

 

I can still get the cylinder from a Suzuki dealer ? any idea how much ?

 

Last time I asked my Suzuki dealer, he said $275..check out BikeBandit.com I think they have them listed at $250 & you get a 3-5% discount if you are an AMA member.

yeah I happen to stumble on this place that has the cylinder for $200. We got the rolling chassis for $50 and found the engine ( minus the parts listed above ) for I think a little under $200 on e-bay. I found out the stator cover and stator from a 230 will work so luckily I have a stator left over from my 230 project ( which is in my pics ). I still need the cover though and cylinder. So as it sits right now if I buy a new cylinder for $200 we'll have about $500 in it.

 

anyone know if the 250s engine will fit in my 230s frame ? considering that instead of rebuilding a whole quad for 20cc

 

it'll fit maybe a little bit of work but its basicly the same engine with just a bigger bore.
