Default TIres size on vinson

Hi guys!

I just bought a used vinson ( only 2300km year 2004) and the last owner install ITP mud lite tires. The size is 26 12 12 on rear and 26 10 12 in front. The original size is suppose to be 25 8 12 in front and 25 10 12 on rear. Could you tell me if it can break anything else on the atv. How the top speed can be affected by this.

Thank you

Add a K&N filter and a jet ket and you will not notice the diff, that much.stick with the 26" and you will be find for power,no problem with mind at all,or change to a bear claw for a lest aggresive tire but still works great in snow.it will grab not like the itp in mud,but then there is not a perfect tire for everthing!

A 26" light mud tire shouldnt be heavy enough to damage anything on your machine.

I run the 26" Maxxis Bighorns on mine and I could definitely tell the difference in power loss after putting them on. The ATV still gets up and goes pretty fast though but you do lose some take off and top end. But how often will you be wanting to hit 65 mph on it? I can still get it up to around 57mph on dirt roads and that's not very often. I've had mine on there for over a year and havn't had any problems.

How do you like those Bighorns as to the other tires out there,as for as rock and the red mud down there, and tire wear more than any other? Thanks

I have the 26' mudlites on my vinson too. I did notice some loss of power but i have no problem sacrificing the power for what they do in the mud. Ive put close to a 1000 miles on them and have noticed very little tire wear. I would personally give those tires a chance.

The tires have done real well on the rocks. No flats yet. And for the mud they definitely bite into it. Sometimes too much because it slings it all over when you hammer down. I haven't noticed any wear yet, they still look just as knobby as the first day I put them on. That's one of the main reasons I bought them because of the strong ply and the thick sidewalls. Great tires.
