Rear Drum Brake ?

Rear Drum Brake ?
My rear brake was fine and then it stopped working 1/2 way through the day. I got home and adjusted the cable and its fine now. Why all of a sudden did I have to adjust the cable and ALOT(like 10-15 full turns)
