I have the retaining nut off the Lt250R flywheel. It is still stuck on tight. Do I use a 3 jaw puller or should it just pull off?. Are there any things I need to note before pulling it off (positon)? Any tips would be appreciated. Replacing this stator is proving to more involved than I thought any knowledgable tips would be greatly appreciated.

A 3 jaw puller would be the easiest way...dont want to pry it off.....the only other way would be to tap easy around it...but doing that would take chance of breaking something...besides you ll want to have a puller around for future use.
good luck

lock tite the nut on with blue lock tite and only tor to about 5 footpounds under specs . this will prevent the fliwheel from spreding and letting the keyway slip.

the best way to remove a flywheel is a with a flywheel puller,if you look at the inside of the flywheel middle youll notice its threaded. a flywheel puller pulls on the flywheel and pushes on the crank.they can be bought for about 12 bucks at almost any quad/dirtbike shop, and the same puller will fit tons of diferent machines

Ditto...

Don't use a 3 jaw puller... drop the $12 and get the correct puller. Your flywheel will thank you later.
