Flooded Eiger
#1
I was playing in the river today, and flooded my eiger. I winched my way to dry land, tried to start it and the starter locked up! I stood it up on the rear wheels, let all the water drain out, and let it back down, then cranked it back up! It would crank, but it would die ideling, I eased it back to the road heading home, it was running fine, I was doing about 30mph, then gassed on it, and it died blowing smoke out the tale pipe. I towed it home, checking out everthing, and then noticed water in the oil, I have drained the oil, but got the wrong filter tonight, what else can I do? Some told me I might have dropped a valve, or blew a head gasket, It is spiiting white milky oil in the air filter? any suggestions??

You will need to change the oil several times running it a few minutes in between. I would suggest using the cheapest oil you can find until the oil is normal looking. I doubt you have major engine damage but didn't do it any favors either. Your air filter should be oiled, so if it gets wet enough you will see milk color in the air box.

actually I hate to tell you but in my experience when you gassed it you blew the rings out that is what the white smoke was you will probably need to bore it out now and also get that water out of the engine. Walmart sells Marvel mystery oil that will help you with the water
