Neutral Switch
#1
Hi guys. This is my 1st ATV I have owned. I purchased a Suzuki LTF250k2 (Ozark 2) and the only problem seems to be the wire that comes out from the tranny to the wiring harness. As far sa I can tell, it makes the lights for neutral and reverse come on. By wiggling the wire, I can get them to go on and go off. When the lights are not on (the wire being loose), it will not start. Does anyone know the name of that wire, a way to circumvent the problem, or should I just go to a dealer and purchase a new one?
Thanks,
Ron

One of the handlebar brake levers should override the safety switch. I would examine the wire more closely, if it doesn't have any torn pieces of insulation or crimps in it, I would follow the wire to either end and resolder the connection better, or atleast use some sand paper/pencil eraser on the connections and some dieelectric grease and then reconnect. I used to think who the heck needs a nuetral light, until the one on my street bike quit working, now I really miss it.
