I don't know much about the king but I got a ticking sound on my eiger when the valves needed to be adjusted. Look in your owners manual and see when the first one is due, I think mine was like 600 miles but i went like 1100 before I needed it. Just a thought, hope this helps.

You first valve adjustment is/was due at 100 miles. Along with the first service. Do you have a copy of the service manual?
Thanks

Where does it sound like the noise is coming from? Up high, low left, low right? I would take it back to the dealer and have them listen to it. That way they have a record of your complaint. If that don't work call Suzuki direct and fill a complaint against the dealer. That might get you some action. It did for me one time. The called and offered to drive almost two hours one way to get my King. I ended up taking my King and business to a different dealer.
I would also let the dealer and Suzuki know about it being a qt low.
Thanks
David

In another post you say it has a leak in th head gasket and yu have it at the dealer right now. You say in this post that the dealer said to bring it back after 20 hours. Which is it? If you have antifreeze leaking in the head you have more problems than a ticking sound.
I love details in peoples post!

it is not the head gasket leaking it is a fitting that is skrewed into the head the ticking sounds like it is coming from the top of the head like a hard hitting sound maybe a cam or somthing

after the engine warms up the piston starts to expand inside the cylinder, so maybe the piston is rubbing on something inside of the cylinder walls? i could definately be wrong but idk of any other reason why it would make the noise after its warm but not at start up. take it to the dealereship and give em hell man!!! haha good luck with your problem man.
