IM UP A CREEK

hi there i got an 86 quadrunner lt250,i had a new head,base gasket put in and i took it about 500 feet and the motor seemed to get real hot.it is still running.what could it be?any help would be appreciated,thanks

make sure you have enough oil in it. and im not to sure about the lt250. is it water or air cooled, 2 or 4 stroke

Lean condition in the carb would make it run hot.
