Ozark- Measurig Oil Level
#1
Hey Guys,
On the Ozark, do you measure the oil level on the dip stick with it screwed in or just resting on the threads. I have a Suzuki shop manual, but no owners manual. The shop manual just says to measure the level on the dip stick and doesn't specify whether screwed in or not.
On my Wolv, you DON'T screw it in.
If one of you Ozark guys could let me know, I'd sure appreciate it.
Thanks.

Any Ozark owner out there with the original owners manual?
I was afraid this would happen
Common...someone read to me and break the tie.

I just dug out my manual and it said that the threads should be touching but not screwed in. I've noticed that so far my shop manual has been useless. The owner's manual contains more useful information and it was FREE.

Thanks for digging out the manual.
I have to admit, the factory Yamaha Service manuals are much better than the factory Suzuki manual that I just bought. The Yamaha manuals duplicate all the maintenance info that the Operators manual has, plus so much more. The Suzuki manual will be good for the major work, but for the basics, it looks like I need to track down an Ozark owner's manual.
