I have my plastic on my Lt painted black and what I found out works the best is to not use spray paint it chips and scratches very easily... The best thing to use is rubberized undercoat for cars... It Kinda gives the plastic alittle bit of texture but it is very durable doesn't scratch or peel... And has an awesome shine when you coat it with some WD-40

when using the krylon fusion spray paint what should i do to prep the plastic(sand it,wash it,ect.)? also ive got another question, if i take my motor out to also paint it black would i have to disassemble the whole thing or could i just paint over it? i like how yours looks f250r.......thats one nice quad! im going for that kind of look but my motor is blue. I would like it to be maybe yellow like my frame and call it the bumble bee, i think that would look pretty good, any feed back on any of your guys opinions on how that would look would be appretiated.

thanks, for prep for the plastic, just wash it with soap and water, after its dry wipe it down with denatured alchol, the paint chemicaly bonds to plastic. as for the engine, for the lower end, i used a wire wheel on a grinder, then wiped it down with autobody paint reducer, and used gloss black engine paint 500 deg paint, make sure u spay it on in light coats or it wont dry. the jug, head & other silver is powder coat. you can spray it as one and not dissasemble it, your going to have to do some taping.
