Default Mending crack in fender?

My Eiger front left fender has developed about a crack on either side of the rubber bushing where it bolts to the front rack. It was only about an inch on one side of the bushing but has grown to 2 inches on both sides. Perhaps the bushing was too tight. Regardless, any ideas on how to prevent the crack from growing would be appreciated. Tried forcing Gorilla Glue into the crack from underneath but no good. Thanks!!

drill a small hole at the ends of the crack and that will prevent it from growing

I've used a wood burner to melt the plastic back together. Find some plastic the right color and you can use it as filler.
