Default mixture screw on ozark?

My suzuki ozark idles a little rough and sputters off idle so bad that it dies quite often. Is this a common problem with ozarks? I'm thinking it's running too lean(could just be the California model). I read somewhere that there is a plug covering the mixture screw on the carb. Well, I can't find the plug or the screw. Do you think the jetting is the problem, or is there something else? If you guys could help me with this problem, i'd be forever grateful.

Thanks

If you pull on the choke, and then try the throttle...does it improve?
The cap on mine was made of black plastic, but yours may be metal. You may have to use a small drill, to just barely poke a hole in the cover, then use a sheet metal screw, and barely thread it into the cover, then pry it off. Be careful because the mixture screw is right under the cover.
Itll be on the left side of the carb, up in front, towards the intake. Screwing out(ccw) is richer.

ronnies

Im not sure if the link will work, but if you go to the ronnies site, and click on a 2003 ozark in the oem parts microfishe, then on the carb...the mixture screw is number 30, and the cover is number 41.
