Default cdi's need advice

i would like to get a cdi for the wheeler but dont know what to do. i have been doing research and learned that all cdi's except dynatek and vortex are made by procom and that procom isnt that good. whats the truth behind that. also i was looking at the dynatek one and was wondering if i bought the programmable one what are the dangers of blowing the motor? what are the dangers of blowing the motor with one that increases the rpms by 1000? I have an hmf full system w/175mj and no air box lid. i will be upgrading the intake shortly. what do you guys recommend for me? thanks
