ok enough of you are saying that it is jetting to make me believe so does anybody know where i can get a 39pwk keihin carb and can i use my stock throttle cable if not where do i get the correct one and how do i make up for the gap between the carb and the airbox hose.
I just don't understand how my pilot can give me that much air to compress and why it will only happen when the engine is hot but if i knew then i wouldn't need your guys help
The feedback is great thanks alot everyone so far and please keep it comin

there are only 2 cables that will fit that carb, one for a twist throttle and one for the thumb, the stock cable or any repacemet cable will work, i have that carb on my lt and i didnt get a cable with mine and i used the one on it that was hooked up to my stock mikuni carb, if you bought the carb set up for the zilla like i said it should be dialed in prety close, there designed to work with a aftermarket pipe, scilencer and intake set up.

no a stock lt500 cable will not work with a pwk khien . it wont let the slide close all the way . the cable needs to be 1 " longer . humm i have tried a stock cable on mine when i got my pwk and it wont fit period . thats why they make a cable for it .

i will try to hook up the stock cable and see if it works but nevertheless the ad said it came with a new throttle cable that will hook directly up to my factory thumb throttle but we will see
thanks for the jetting tips i will start with that and work my way richer or leaner
Just does anybody know what i need to hook the keihin up to my factory air box do i need a reed spacer or some type of hose extension.
Also one other question i rebuilt my 87 lt 250 the piston was about two sizes too small and now i am running very rich and have horrible top end i am going to go down to a 220 main from a 240 should i also mess with the jet needle
Thanks alot guys you have been great
