I agree on the vinny to a degree, it needs better front protection as does the KQ, my eiger(the plain jane baby brother) has gone well beyond my expectations I wish some time the KQ I just got , had a straight axle in the back, but thats only until I ride the rough stuff

I have an 05 Vinson with 1400 miles. I love this machine, but. I have replaced the brakes on the front for the second time. The wheel bearings I just replaced and I have one really worn tie rod end. I don't feel that I abuse this machine but I do ride hard. I ride a lot of rocky trails in S.E. KY and TN.

I have been asked many times why I think the Vinnie is better than the King Quad. Obviously, we are not talking about apples to apples. The King has I.R.S., EFI...much larger bore, etc. However, with that being said, I feel that the Vinnie beats it on dependability and just plain toughness. The one I now own has been through the ringer and it still runs great. I wish i could say the same about my '05 King Quad...issues...lots of 'em. Thats why I got rid of it. What i would love to see is a 700 Vinson. That would be ........................................sweet!

The Vinson may be a nice machine but I wouldn't ever give my King up for it, IRS, EFI, front locker, 695cc vs. 500cc. 500cc is just mediocre power on a ute. For the money the BF 650 SRA would be a better choice IMO...front locker and more power.

I am completely satisfied with my 2005 Vinson. Didnt have any problem on it yet, rolled it over twice but only had to unbend the racks, hahaha. Changed the brake pads all around at 1700 miles, now have 2000 miles on it, runs like new. I run it on suzuki 10w40 since the dealer gave me 2 box of the thing when I bought the atv, but when that is over, im going synthetic. I did change my tires to have some more traction, the stock dunlops felt like 4 season tires in jello for me. I bought the ITP 589s tires in the 25" size not to stress the front differential that is known to be weak. Other than that, all I can say is Thanks suzuki for a good quad, I'm 100% satisfied with the performance overall.

...and 500cc is more than enough for a ute guys, I can go wherever you go I'm pretty sure. And I can maybe get through the ruff stuff a bit faster than you might think.

Not for snow plowing (where I plow anyway), or mudding with 27, 28, or 29 inch tires you need all the power you can get to spin tires in the mud and 500cc doesn't always do the job. I'm not dissing your ATV just saying 500cc isn't always enough.

No I'm not a big guy only 175lbs, if 500cc is enough than why is 700cc just barely enough for me...probably b/c I love excessive power and speed. For most people I guess 500cc would be enough unless you like wheelies and acceleration on your 600lb quad.
