Default Z400 Shifting Problem

Right, but from the outside they look the same. Other than doing HPLC on a sample of the metal, is there a way to tell for sure?

I don't have mine here, I keep it at my brother's house. But I believe the new one is just clear-coated aluminum and the old was powdercoated magnesium.

PS

You should be able to have the dealer look up the vin and see if it was done.

They said they did it after I bitched about it not being done before delivery, but they said that they took the carb restrictor out, and didn't do that till I took it back when it ran like $hit.....sooo I don't believe that they actually did it. They're 1st suggestion was to use a dif coolant and leave the mag cover on.
