Default king quad woes

The king died on my last trip, 30 miles in, thankfully we were within 100 yds of paved forest service rd. I came over a sllight rise, and she just quit. Flashing fi/temp light. Took it to the dealer the next day. Ecm out, you know the one they swapped out to limit your speed in reverse. I've got 1800 miles on the quad, bought it on halloween day of 05. The service guy called suzuki to ask them to cover it, too many miles on it they said. Here's the kicker, $575 is what the bill comes too. I actually have probably only about 13-1400 miles on the new ecm, as they replaced after i had owned rode the quad for a few months. I'm going to call and write them a letter, in other words i have yet to begin to fight.

$575!!!! That's rediculous, just buy the ECU for like $300 or $400 and put it in yourself it, the rest is just dealer's labor fee's.
