How fast does the king quad 700 go
#6
The ECU is definitely coming out, just go to Nyroc's website and look at the KQ Replacemnt ECU thread.
Oh yeah, the king's top speed is around 70mph but trust me you wouldn't want to go any faster than this on this ATV. I've gotten to 70mph and it felt like 100mph, and I felt a bit nervous actually with the King's light steering and all.

Cool thanks for the update. I may pick up a used KQ cheap if it gets a rebuild from Suzuki. It's thrashed from the filter thing. Going to probably end up getting a Outlander 800 or a new Grizz but would like to get that KQ as a spare since I can get it dirt cheap.
It goes as fast as I'd care to on the top end. Once you get a big top heavy ATV with big flotation tires rolling at 50 or 60 miles per hour bouncing and floating the just don't fell all that confidence inspiring. Add to that a rear with with no differential and a soft suspension which likes to wobble and lift thanks but I don't care to spend a whole lot of time buzzing around at 70. Now I do like the capability of getting there as rapidly as possible however.

CQ, that'd be a really cool deal for you if you could get them to rebuild the motor...b/c then you'd have a really nice "spare" ATV, and I'd bet you once you put the VDI ECU on it you'd find yourself riding it more than just a spare.
But the Outty 800 is in another ballpark powerwise so....

I like the griz 700 but I would wait til they get all the kinks out of the system and I really like the kq myself I think its one of the best quads for the price ranges...I also like the outty alot as I own can am's and really like how they are setup and their products...another nice quad that you may want to condsider just to mess around with is the kodiak 450 if you look at squeege on the yamaha forum his kodiak is pretty darn nice.
