lt500r oil change help
#1
When I changed my oil and refilled it the oil didn't make it to the check window on the front of the motor. I added oil until it wouldn't take any more. Still I can't see any oil through the window. Is this normal? I ran the motor a little bit and oil comes out the breather on top of the motor. I can only see a little oil through the window. Am I doing something wrong?

I'd find out how much oil it is supposed to take and add that much. The glass on my blaster became cloudy so I can't tell how much oil is in it. on my 250r therre is a screw you take out an oil flows out when it is full. To much oil in the transmission is bad, you blow the seals out of the transmission.

I found out I put way to much oil in. I needed about 1.06 quarts and I put in 4. There is a screw just below the rear brake lever that lets you know you have thright amount of oil when removed. Thanks for your help.
