i am planning on building a 230 quadsport this winter and i was wondering if anyone knows where i can get a frame (any year) , and i was also wondering if there are any modifications i can do to the frame to make it lighter. I would also like to know if there is any way i can build an extended swingarm of my own for the quad..thanks

Not sure what you can do to make the frame lighter, but you can always cut the swingarm and weld a section in. Just make sure you put it in a spot that wont interfere with the shock. You don't want to have to buy a longer shock.

You can always hit up ebay for a frame. I dont think there are any aftermarket ones.

 

They are already pretty light. Maybe 330 pounds filled with fluids. I wouldn't bother removing frame peices for less weight, you are only going to have trouble later on if you do any jumping or fast trail riding.
