Hello.

Well that's a bit difficult of a quesiton especialy as to what terrain your driving trough, or if your working, towing, e.t.c.

If it's a regular (not boggy) woods trail ride then. Approx 19 litres or 5.12 US gallons will get you well over 50 miles.

Gravel roads over 100 miles.

Swamps and bogs about 40 miles, again depends on conditions and what your doing (hauling), speed, getting unstuck, e.t.c.

The vinson (manual) is very fuel efficient for a 500cc.

It's not realy possible to give an accurate MPG rating as the terrain or use is always changing.

You would have to be more specific as to what you will be doing. However the aproximations above are from my expierence with my vinson 500 manual. My 500cc (manual) BRP traxter is much better in MPG than my vinson though.

If i haul a load of supplies up to the camp in low gear the vinson is very good on gass. However hauling earth or sand on a gravel road with all the shifting the MPG drops quite a bit.

Which is understandable. Weather it be you or a horse hauling earth or sand. Such cargos are very difficult to haul.

Other than that perhaps some one else will perhaps share some expierences with thier manual 500 vinson.

Best of luck.

On average I get 150 km on a full tank of premium unleaded (91 octane) sometimes its a lil more, and sometimes a lil less ... but always near that

When riding the Browning Fork trails at Hatfield & McCoy I get atleast 80 miles from a tank. I don't hammer the machine all day but I don't hesitate to open it up on a fairly consistent basis. I figure if I ride easy 100 miles on a tank would be doable.

Tha plastic is holding up really well for 1600 miles. The little plastic fasteners that hold the plastic to the footrest plastic like to work there way loose. Just keep your eye on them and they will be fine.

The manual shift has been excellent, no problems what so ever! The Hi Lo range shift can be a little tricky at times. I've learned that you must put the tranny in neutral when changing from lo to high and vice versa. If you do this it works great. Put it in first gear lo range and you can go down the steepest of hills with very little braking needed.

I had to replace the brakes, front wheel bearings and one tie rod. I ride it hard but I don't beat it to death. I also need to replace the bushing on the bottom of the steering stem. It has a little play in it.

I also have a clicking noise coming form the rear that I haven't been able to figure out yet, it just started doing this a week or so ago.

This is my second ATV, the first being a Polaris. I had to replace lots of parts on it too! The normal stuff like bearings, tie rod ends and such.

I've come to the conclusion that no matter what machine I ride I'm going to wear out and break things from time to time. I'm pretty sure I wouldn't buy another Polaris but I would buy another Suzuki.
